Accommodation in the region
Dumfries & Galloway is a major Scottish tourist destination and as such there is a wide range of available accommodation categories – Hotels, Inns, Guest Houses, Bed & Breakfasts and self catering establishments.
Teams planning to enter the Trophy D’Ecosse 2012 should note that the dates 5th – 8th April 2012 coincide with the UK Easter Holiday weekend and there will inevitably be heavy demand on hotels and guest houses around the region. Teams would be well advised to make arrangements for accommodation well in advance to ensure availability.
On the following pages, we have pulled together as many and as wide a range of accommodations within a 30 mile radius of Dumfries, together with telephone numbers and web sites where available. To try and help, we have indicated the Scottish Tourist Association (STA) Star Grading where possible, but please note that the stars are awarded within each category. We cannot guarantee the full accuracy of the information.
As it may not be possible to accommodate your entire squad in a single establishment, therefore we have grouped all facilities by town/region where for example smaller hotels or guest houses close together could offer possibilities. There are also many good restaurants and eating places in all of the region’s small towns, and none should involve too much walking!
